A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own or lease for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity. A domain name registrar is an organization or, accredited to sell country code top-level domain to manage the reservation of Internet domain names  and to offer such services to the public.

These screenshots are taken from my site after i made significant changes to the layout of each page. i changed the images to fit the theme of the campaign and they now consist of happy people to represent the outcome of the website. I then added in copyright signs at the bottom of the page to represent a authentic website.

The survey results show that the target audience do not know that much about certain aspects of drugs such as the effects and risks. The results also highlighted the need to make the website accessible for older people as they could still be educated by it.

The diary plan shows how I completed my work and the the time frame i worked to. the screenshot shows how I not only planned but also completed the work to allow me to focus on the design and production of my website.

These sketches show how i began to plan the layout of the website and how it has changed due to feedback and sugestions. An example of this would be the decision  not to include a separated drug information page for each different type of drug and instead placing them not in one whole page as people who left feedback said this would be too confusing.

This is my video story board and is a rough idea of how my video will be put together. it was changed during filming to the video of the charity event for drug free youth as this was chosen as a more effective way of encouraging young people to abandon drug use.

These pictures are used in the website. I decided in the end not to include theses photos i thought they portrayed the wrong image when campaigning for a drug free youth so i decided to include images of people looking like they were enjoying themselves as this adds a positive feel to the website.

Website research

The website research results show that the majority of the drug websites use pictures and videos to appeal to the target audience. when looking back at the website research it is clear that we applied a lot of the techniques and methods used such as videos , pictures and written accounts but also we could have used more of the techniques such as a more appealing website layout to attract more people and to captivate the audience.

The website I will be making will be a charity website focusing on young people and drugs. The website will follow the standard conventions. The home page will feature the charity logo surrounded by images of the charity in action and will the base of the website in which . A video will be featured on the site to advertise the charity. I will use a modern font so the site appears professional yet stylish and will use links to different sections of the site such as contact information in bold letters so people can easily identify them. The site will also include separate pages on what he charity does and how people can get involved. There will be eight pages in total with five on different types of drugs and their effects with pages on heroin , magic mushrooms , MDMA , cannabis and cocaine  , a home page , a contact page and a page on what the charity does the webiste will be called drug free youth.
